William and Mary’s Courtroom 21 to Test New Technology-Based Solution to Resolve International Child
The 2005 Courtroom 21 Lab Trial is a proof-of-concept experiment designed to show that multi-jurisdictional disputes, notably international parental child abduction cases, sometimes can be resolved by joint hearings of the multiple courts involved in the case. We believe this experiment is the first ever to attempt this method of technology-aided multi-court hearing and resolution. The joint hearings will be conducted by videoconference with evidentiary exhibits available by Internet.
