"What is hot in franchising" is the topic for the upcoming New England Franchise Business Network (NEFBN) event scheduled for Tuesday, May 9, 6-9 p.m. and to be held at the Sheraton Braintree Hotel, 37 Forbes Road, Braintree, MA.

Nancy Weingartner, Managing Editor, Franchise Times will expand upon the topic. Franchise Times is a highly regarded, business-trade publication known for its extensive editorial coverage of both franchisor and franchisee issues.

Franchise Times Corp. inherited Nancy in 1998 when it bought Franchise Times from Crain Communications and Continental Franchise Review, a Denver-based newsletter Nancy edited. She became Franchise Times’ managing editor in 2002.

Nancy will speak about what’s hot in franchising, what the future holds and lessons learned from franchising’s past. She’ll also address ways companies and individuals can tap into the media’s short-little attention span, and how to generate positive press and handle negative press.

The evening includes a cocktail and networking session beginning at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. and the presentation. The entire business community is urged to attend. Membership in the NEFBN is NOT required.

Corporate sponsor for this event is PR Works, a full service public relations firm based in Kingston, Mass.

New England Franchise Business Network is the trade organization for franchisors and franchisees in the region. The group offers training, networking and other support to the franchise community. NEFBN is the regional affiliate of the International Franchise Association (IFA).

Registration Fee is $60 per person and includes dinner. To reserve your seats, please contact New England Franchise Business via the organization’s website www.nefbn.org, info@nefbn.org, or by calling board member Jim Coen, (617) 469-3002.
