TWO FEATURE FILMS TO BE PRODUCED BY NEW VISIONS FILM GROUP IN 2009 - Providing More Opportunities fo
Atlanta based New Visions Film Group moves forward despite the recession with their 2009 production schedule which includes two feature films. The group is already in pre-production on one feature and has plans to produce a second feature during the Summer of this year.
[ClickPress, Sun Apr 12 2009] The group’s current feature… an action comedy entitled… “The Audition”… a film which captures the pain, success and insanity in the lives of aspiring talent on the journey to stardom despite the odds... Exploring relationships between talent and casting agents… leaving each of us with the question... How do you handle rejection? The group’s second feature on the table will be a psychological thriller scheduled for production following the completion of “The Audition”.
Director Michael K. Harris, who writes, directs and edits the groups projects, says “we focus on keeping it simple, keeping it professional and keeping it fun… when it stops being fun… I quit”. We are always looking to make connections and associations with other groups, organizations, investors and sponsors who could have a positive impact on our ability to expand our mission. Which is to successfully produce and secure distribution for our movies, providing opportunities in all areas of media production in the Southeast as we have done for over the last nine years”.
Michael K. Harris started New Visions Film Group in 1999 after he walked off his corporate job at lunchtime, called in sick from a payphone and never went back. Since then, he came together with Producer Mazola Brown and Director of Photography Lionel “Montel” Elder to form the core of the group. Together they have completed four feature films, two T.V. pilots and a host of projects with other companies and groups in the Atlanta area.
