Following the successful launch of ILDEX Vietnam and ILDEX India in recent years, N.C.C. Exhibition Organizer Co., Ltd., aka. "NEO" - the organizer of ILDEX Exhibition Series or the International Livestock, Dairy, Meat Processing, and Aquaculture Expo continues its mission by introducing ILDEX Pavilion in the Philippines 2009 to bring about international expertise to satisfy local needs. NEO is joining hands with the Foundation for Resource Linkage and Development, Inc. (FRLD) to launch the first ILDEX Pavilion at AgriLink 2009, which will take place on 8 to 10 October 2009, at the World Trade Center, Metro Manila.
"Our ILDEX Pavilion is an interesting concept that we have developed specially for the Filipino livestock market. It is a good strategic move for both FRLD and NEO," said Mr. Suhbpong Smithtun, International Project Manager, NEO. He elaborated that "FRLD, the organizer of AgriLink 2009 has a strong relationship with local community while NEO has good connection with world renowned technology leaders due to its decade long experience in livestock technology and exhibition organizing. This makes ILDEX Pavilion a perfect marketplace for both buyers and sellers in the livestock, dairy, meat-processing, and aquaculture industry. This event is also coming at the right time as Filipino producers are in urgent need to improve their productiveness and competitiveness to stay ahead of influx competition after the full implementation of ASEAN Free Trade Agreement or AFTA next year."
Full implementation of AFTA next year mandates that ASEAN member countries bring their tariff rates down to between zero and five percent on a whole range of agreed products. Among sectors that might see themselves struggling with stiff competition include poultry, egg, and the hog industries. This is due to higher cost structure compared to other countries. Technology will play a crucial role in productivity and competitiveness, too.
"This year, 30 companies from Argentina, China, Korea, Thailand, the Netherlands, the Philippines, UK, and USA will exhibit at ILDEX Pavilion in the Philippines 2009 at AgriLink 2009. Apart from showcasing the latest technology and business solutions to trade visitors from livestock, diary, meat-processing, and aquaculture industry, we will also organize a series of networking activities for local visitors and international exhibitors under the Business Matching," added Mr. Smithtun. "We expect that the ILDEX Pavilion will attract a good number of trade visitors who are searching for new technology, innovative ideas, business partners, and business solutions as well as knowledge and information to stay afloat amidst rising competition."
