About the Target Awards
The Target Awards attempt to highlight best-of-breed, real-world solutions in multiple categories of system management tools. W2Knews readers are asked to go to a special voting site, where they are presented with a list of categories and finalists. The lists of categories and finalists are created by the W2Knews editor-in-chief to reflect real-world solutions. Votes are tracked by IP address and cookies are placed on voter's workstations to reduce multiple voting by one user. The final voting database was tabulated and scrubbed to reduce the chance of ballot-stuffing by finalists. The Target Awards is a non-scientific poll.
