[ClickPress, Mon Dec 11 2006] Cambridgeshire’s latest community website, itsmymarket.com has handed out £1000 to local photographer, Tony Stead, following the conclusion of the web sites “Beautiful Cambridgeshire” competition.

The competition, which saw over 450 photographs of Cambridgeshire uploaded onto the competition section of the site, was the first of a series to be run by the site over the coming months.

The picture, a glowing sunset over the river Cam, received a great deal of support from the votes of local people and was judged to be the best of those shortlisted by a panel of judges including Star Radio’s Mark Peters.

“This was a really difficult choice to make,” said Mark ,”as the final shortlist were all particularly good photographs.”

itsmymarket.com Project Manager, Tom Probst was delighted with the response of the public. “This just goes to show just how proud people in Cambridgeshire are of their county.”

The winners photograph and all those pictures entered can be seen on itsmymarket.com.
