Learning Light, a non-profit centre of excellence which highlights and promotes best practice in the use of learning technologies in the workplace, has extended its relationship with the US-based e-learning guru, Jay Cross.

Jay Cross, head of the Internet Time Group based in Berkeley, California, and a well known e-learning guru, has been a regular contributor of articles and podcasts on key e-learning-related topics to Learning Light members. These include an ‘Alistair Cook style’ ‘Letter from America’, describing new contemporary developments in e-learning in the USA.

"In view of the high quality and relevance of Jay Cross’ contributions to Learning Light’s Members’ Portal – a repository of information about learning technologies – we’ve asked Jay to continue to supply articles dealing with key issues in this field," explained Mark Pittaway, Learning Light’s CEO. "These articles will be available exclusively to Learning Light members and edited versions will be available to all Learning Light newsletter subscribers."

Jay Cross commented: "Important issues for 2007 in terms of e-learning include mobile learning, immersive ‘second life’ environments, and ‘unconferences’.

"I look forward to discussing these – and other – key issues for the growing membership of Learning Light. Not only will this enable them to be well informed on the key issues relating to learning technologies but it will also allow them to take advantage of this information to help their businesses to become more effective, efficient and profitable."
