Local Jacksonville Fraternal Order of Police President, Nelson Cuba Elected To Senate Hispanic Leade

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA - The Jacksonville F.O.P. (Fraternal Order of Police) is proud to announce that it's president Nelson Cuba was nominated by the Honorable Senator Mel Martinez for the Senate Hispanic Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. on September 27 and 28, 2005.

The U.S. Senate is nominating 400 Hispanic Leaders from around the nation, to participate in the Senate Hispanic Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. on Sept. 27 and 28, 2005. The Summit Chair is the Honorable Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (TX) and Summit co-chair is the Honorable Senator Mel Martinez (FL).

Mr. Cuba will be among the 400 nominated Hispanic Leaders from around the nation. Mr. Cuba recently received LULAC's (League of United Latin American Citizens) President's Community Service award in Law Enforcement. Mr. Cuba also serves as vice chair of the Mayor's Hispanic American Advisory Board.
The F.O.P. is dedicated to the advancement of the law enforcement profession through education, communication and an informed program of legislation.
