[ClickPress, Fri Jan 26 2007] The year has started on a high note for seamless communications agency Ware Anthony Rust (WAR). Following an extremely successful 12 months, January 2007 has now seen the elevation of two valued members of staff to senior roles.
Head of PR Kerris Macauley has been promoted to WAR company director in recognition of her role in developing the PR area of the business. New clients across B2B, consumer and healthcare were added in 2006, and the team has also received extended briefs from BACS (Direct Debit), Huntsman, newly formed Corgi International and Sekonda. PR is now one of the leading disciplines within WAR, with Macauley heading up a team of 12 industry professionals.
Her valuable contribution to the business has prompted the appointment of Shelby Haslam, Head of Account Management to WAR’s Management Board. Since her arrival three years ago, Shelby has been instrumental in securing some outstanding clients for WAR, and takes a leading role in the management of key clients BACS and Multiyork. She also played a vital part in securing WAR’s role as the only out of London agency on Visa’s design roster. Her appointment as Head of Account Management last year saw Haslam promote team spirit within the agency, encouraging a positive and proactive working environment with her can-do approach.
Additional expertise across WAR’s core disciplines of PR, advertising, design, online and direct marketing has been boosted with 13 new recruits, taking the team to 50-plus. In recognition of individual hard work and results, there have also been a number of internal promotions including, most recently, Nick Tapper to PR Senior Account Executive, Nick Walton to Senior Account Executive and Katy Brown to Account Executive.
The ability to deliver top notch campaigns across one or more of its disciplines has seen the WAR business grow considerably over the last year.
Alison Meadows, managing director at WAR, said: “We are really pleased to recognise the commitment, enthusiasm and professional expertise demonstrated by both Kerris and Shelby. With a great team in place there is a really exciting buzz at WAR, and we look forward to all the new opportunities that 2007 will bring!”
