Flash Networks Signs Largest Mobile Operator in Southern Hemisphere to become Newest Client for its

Herzelia, Israel, 25 July, 2005. VIVO, Brazil’s largest mobile operator has chosen Flash Networks’ NettGain 1200 mobile data optimisation solution for its VIVO Zap 3G mobile broadband service. The service offers real-time applications such as email, Internet, music and file downloading, video and audio streaming to the operator’s 25 million subscribers. The NettGain 1200 optimisation solution will ensure that VIVO’s subscribers will enjoy a significantly improved user experience via greater speed, service consistency and ease of use to drive user adoption and increase the operator’s ARPU.
After undertaking a rigorous review of available solutions, VIVO settled on Flash Networks’ mobile optimisation solutions as offering the best all-round functionality. The NettGain 1200 solution will be installed in the operator’s network in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro to deliver 3G services more efficiently, reduce costs and deliver profitable 3G applications and content for a better user experience. VIVO use CodeDivision Multiple Access (CDMA) technology to offer peak speeds of up to 2.4 Megabits per second (Mbps).
