Midnight mass also more commonly known as Missa de Galo will be taking place in churches everywhere and visitors can see some of the best churches in the Old Goa area close to the state capital of Panaji. On Christmas day visitors can either opt for a traditional turkey dinner or go for something more adventurous with many Goan dishes specially prepared for Christmas. Highlights include Sorpatel which is a spicy pork and liver dish or Bebinca, a pudding made from coconut milk, sugar, flour and clarified butter.
