The Okamoto Sensei first began aikido in 1977 in Tokyo, later training in France and again in Japan, then establishing training centres in the USA. It is a rare opportunity to train with a well established Sensei and those who are interested in the sport should not miss this chance.
The workshops are taking place from 6pm to 8pm on the Friday evening, 10 am to 12 noon on the Saturday morning, 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm on the Saturday afternoon and from 9 am to 12 noon on the Sunday morning. The venue for the event is the Meadowbank Stadium and Sports Centre, located in London Road in Edinburgh and which is easily reached either by car or by public transport.
Lek Boonlert, the Head of Marketing at DirectRooms.com, said, ‘This is an event which will not come around very often, so tickets are bound to sell quickly and hotels in the area will have increased numbers of bookings. In order to avoid disappointment, those attending should ensure that their accommodation is also booked in advance.’
When looking for Edinburgh hotels, there are a wide range to choose from and something to suit every budget and taste, from low budget accommodation which charges per room rather than per person to more luxurious hotel accommodation for those with a little more to spend. There are several good quality hotels located close to the venue for the event.
