NEW COMMUNITY WEB SITE TO BE LAUNCHED

MCALLEN, T.X. (July 7, 2005): Rio Grande Valley's newest Web site, ListItRGV.com, will bring affordable online local classified listings to Texas this month. The ListItRGV.com Website is designed to help consumers in the local community buy, sell, promote, and communicate through user-generated content.

Filling a need for affordable and comprehensive local online classifieds, McAllen resident Malcom Chakery in partnership with Vega Interactive, LLC, a Rhode Island-based company, introduces a new online classifieds site that incorporates enhanced technology to make the site pages load faster and enable more search and management options for users.

"A few months ago I discovered ListItRI.com—Vega Interactive’s premier classifieds site— online. I knew right away that I wanted to launch a similar site in the Valley," says Mr. Chakery, owner of Chakery Design, a comprehensive Web Site design company. "A week after contacting them, we were on our way to creating ListItRGV.com."

Vega Interactive founders, Tom Viall and Linda Woods, channeled their combined experience working on the Internet to create a site that offers an enhanced and more useful online classifieds tool. "The technology behind the site is completely dynamic and flexible," explains Mr. Viall. "Working closely on classified tools for several years enabled us to monitor the effectiveness of various features and catalogue user feedback. The database tool we created for ListItRGV.com is literally the product of years of market research and usability testing. We've incorporated features into the site we know are important to people posting listings and people browsing those items, namely interactivity, speed and ease of use."

Currently, there are no plans in place to sell any pop-up/under ads on ListItRGV.com. Instead, the site will feature a "membership model" for generating revenue. Users in the Rio Grande Valley can post a free listing for up to 90 days on ListItRGV.com in the following areas: General Merchandise, Automotive, Real Estate, Services, Restaurants and Events. Each of the areas has various sub-categories within, and a search engine will enable users to search for apartment listings, for example, by geographic area.

After the free listing time period expires, there is a nominal membership fee to continue posting listings. People can choose from a 30-day membership for the price of just $14.95 or an annual membership for the price of just $149.95. Both plans allow for unlimited listings in multiple categories during the duration of the membership. There is also a "manage my listings" area where members can view every listing they have on the site with options for editing and deleting.
