The Taipei Game Show (TGS) will take place between the 18th and 22nd February 2011 and, judging by the 300,000 plus people that attended the event in 2010, is expected to generate record attendance levels. The sheer volume of visitors may well create a shortage of hotel in Taipei choices.
The TGS is Taiwan’s only annual event for this industry and is a must on the calendars of local and Chinese game programmers, makers and distributors. International companies are offered the chance of using Taiwan’s historic links with China to access the latter country’s huge consumer market and forge contacts with its game industry representatives.
The exhibition also offers game enthusiasts and small retailers the chance of previewing the newest products that are either just emerging on the market or about to hit it. As technology is constantly evolving, game specifications and accessories are constantly being upgraded. Anybody involved with game retail needs to stay current.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head of DirectRooms said: "The Taipei Game Show is pencilled in on the calendars of manufacturers and players of any type of high tech game. The interest that it generates will attract visitors from the country and neighbour. People should check for internet hotel availability prior to their visit."
