Over three days, from 18th to 20th March, the Pusan West Film Festival 2011 will be a collection of the most prominent work from Korean directors and producers featuring a mixture of modern and classical genres.
The festival is a collaboration between the Pusan International Film Festival and the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University where each of the films will be shown. Professors from the American college will be providing in-depth reviews of each film which will primarily be a selection of the foremost films from the International Film Festival.
All the films are set to be shown in the Marion Knott Studios at the college with screenings on the first day starting from 4pm. The event is set to give viewers a greater understanding of Korean cinema and also of the country’s culture and is expected to increase travel to the city of Busan (Pusan) where people can experience the country from hotels in Busan.
