Stellar, a global business process outsourcing provider, announced today that they hosted players from the Australian Football League’s (AFL) North Melbourne Kangaroo Football Club for a membership renewal drive at Stellar’s Richmond-based call centre facility in Victoria.
For the third year in a row, Stellar supported the Kangaroo’s in their annual membership drive, where club members receive calls directly from their favourite players asking them to renew their annual memberships. Stellar staff enjoyed the opportunity to meet the players, and get some prized photos and autographs.
Stellar provided facilities and phone lines for the campaign, and players were split into two teams. The centre was decorated with the blue and white team colours to help make the players feel at home.
The players applied their competitive football skills to the art of telemarketing with impressive results – a grand total of 450 members were signed up in just two hours, surpassing the club’s original target for the evening.
