Exciting new artists that will perform this year include: DakhaBrakha, Os Mutante, ScrapArtMusic, 17 Hippies, Archie Roach, Nathalie Natiembe and Martha Wainwright.
Originally co-founded in the UK by Peter Gabriel, the festival will take place on seven stages and feature some of the world’s top dancers, musicians and DJs. There will are be street theatre performances and displays of visual art, alongside the popular Taste the World cooking programme. There will also be various workshops. The All-Star Gala finale will round off the festival where there will also be more than 100 stalls selling food and crafts.
Adelaide hotels will no doubt be busy during the course of the festival, so it’s advisable to book early to avoid disappointment.
Ticket prices vary from $87 AUD (£55) for a night pass to $243 AUD (£150) for a full four-day festival pass. Children under 12 enter free of charge and there are concessions available for pensioners, Health Care card holders, YHA members and students.
"This festival has always been an extravaganza of sights and sounds and is a must-attend for anyone who loves having a good time" said Lek Boonlert, Head of Marketing at DirectRooms.com.
