The inaugural Business Centre Association (bca) ‘Chairman’s Award’ has been presented to Philip Parris, managing director of Harvard Office Business Centres, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the flexible managed workspace industry.
The award was presented by bca chairman, Tony Waldron, during the 18th annual bca Conference & Exhibition. "It gives me great pleasure to name Philip Parris as the first recipient of this significant new industry award," commented Tony Waldron, "As he has made a major contribution, both to the bca and the industry as a whole, and has been instrumental in enabling the industry to become a mainstream workplace option."
"It’s a great honour to be the first recipient of the bca Chairman’s Award," responded Philip Parris, "And it’s also a privilege to be recognised by one’s peers. However, in this case the award is particularly meaningful to me as I have great respect for the bca chairman, as an individual and also for the contribution he has made to the industry.
"This great industry has enabled me to travel to the four corners of the globe; establish numerous business contacts; make countless new friends and enjoy many cultural exchanges and so it is fabulous to be honoured for something that is so enjoyable. Awards are extremely important in this industry as they highlight and recognise the contribution that the individual has made, but it is equally important that they should also inspire others to make their own contribution to the bca and this great industry that we have created in during the past 20 years."
