Ragsdale Liggett PLLC Partner Receives Career Achievement Award

Ragsdale Liggett PLLC has announced that Dorothy Bass Burch, partner at the firm, has received the 2007 Meredith College Career Achievement Award. Established in 2002, this annual award is presented to an alumna who has dedicated herself to excellence in her profession as well as distinguished herself by notable achievement credited to her over a continual period of time. Past winners of this award include Martha Browning Dicus, Boyd
King Dimmock, Hunter Darden, Nancy Hall, Pat Nathan, Gwen Picklesimer Davis and Gail Brinn Wilkins. Burch was presented the award at the Meredith College Alumnae Awards ceremony held on Friday, May 18 at the Meredith College Chapel in Raleigh.

Burch was an Honors Scholar and received her bachelor’s degrees in American History and Political Science from Meredith College in the spring of 1988, graduating second in her class, summa cum laude. She later went on to attend law school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her Juris Doctor in 1991. In 2006, she was honored with the "Women In Business Award" by the Triangle Business Journal, honoring her as one of 25 Triangle area female executives who have displayed exemplary leadership in business. Burch is a lifetime resident of Raleigh.
