Scorpion, impressive winner of the Grand Prix de Paris on his last start, is the evens favourite with Coral for Saturday's St Leger following today's entry stage. The well-backed Great Voltigeur winner Hard Top is the 11-4 (from 3-1) second favourite, ahead of The Geezer at 5-1.

"If Kieren Fallon partners the favourite, the former champion's many followers could ensure Scorpion starts the season's final Classic as an odds-on shot," reckoned Coral's David Stevens.
