The concerts are part of Mallorca Rocks and will be spread over a lengthy 17 weeks to cover the entire summer season on the island. Some of the principle acts taking to the stage will be number one selling UK artist Dizzee Rascal and he’ll be accompanied by Tinie Tempah, dance favourite Fatboy Slim, The Vaccines, Morning Parade, Professor Green and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs.
The event aims to cater to all musical tastes with leading artists from the soul, rap, electro, dance and indie scenes. To make sure the show kicks off with a bang Plan B will be opening followed by Wretch 22 and Doorly which will be on 31st May 2011.
There will then be a gig every Tuesday up until the 13th September when Madness rounds things up for the celebrity performers.
Things don’t end there though as the last closing party will happen on 20th September where audiences can wave goodbye to the summer and look forward to next year. Tickets are priced at around £30 and last year many of the concerts were sold out and this year could possibly be even bigger.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "The concerts are being held at the Mallorca Rocks Hotel in Magaluf and other Mallorca hotels in the area are already beginning to book up as people buy their tickets for the shows."
