Three Women Presidents’ Organization Members Appointed To National Women’s Business Council (NWBC)

The Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) has announced that three members, Dr. Ann Blackburn, Ceil McCloy and Kathryn Eshelman have been appointed to three-year terms on the National Women’s Business Council (NWBC). Member Ceil McCloy was nominated by the WPO. The National Women's Business Council is a bipartisan federal advisory council created to serve as an independent source of advice and policy recommendations to the President, Congress, and the U.S. Small Business Administration on economic issues of importance to women business owners. The Council's mission is to promote bold initiatives, policies and programs designed to support women's business enterprises at all stages of development in the public and private sector marketplaces.

The WPO is a nonprofit membership organization for a diverse group of women presidents who have guided their businesses to at least $2 million in gross annual sales or $1 million for a service-based business. With over 1,100 members and 72 chapters located throughout the nation and in Canada, the WPO has experienced rapid growth since its inception. Local WPO chapters are coordinated by a professional facilitator and meet monthly to share business expertise and experience in a confidential and collaborative setting. This year is the organization’s 10th anniversary.
