GLASGOW PUBLISHING COMPANY SCOOPS AWARDS
Glasgow based publishing company is awarded Consumer Specialist Magazine of the Year and Publisher of the Year at this years PPA Scottish Magazine Awards.
[ClickPress, Tue Dec 11 2007] Glasgow based publishing company Craven Publishing was recognised with two awards at the PPA Scottish Magazine Awards on Thursday night in Edinburgh. The glittering annual competition is designed to celebrate the very best in publishing north of the border, and saw Craven Publishing fend off competition from established titles including Clash magazine, The Scottish Wedding Directory and The Beano.
Steve Craven, founder of Craven Publishing, was awarded Publisher of the Year in recognition of the consistently high quality of the diverse publications produced by the company. Able magazine – the UK’s leading disability lifestyle publication which is published by Craven Publishing – took home the gong for Consumer Specialist Magazine of the Year, while the company also produces End of Term, a publication for Scottish school leavers; and Civvy Street, a resettlement guide for members of the British Armed Forces.
Staff at Craven Publishing were delighted to have their hard work recognised by PPA Scotland and MD Steve Craven felt honoured to have won Publisher of the Year, particularly considering the level of strong competition he was up against.
Steve Craven started the company in 1994 and it is due to his drive and ambition that Craven Publishing is the firmly established and award-winning company that it is today.
