Competitive Landscape

Eurocom Cellular Communication is the leading player in feature phones in Israel and in 2015 the company generated a 45% volume share in the category due to the popularity of its Nokia brand. Nokia is a very strong and widely recognised brand in Israel. Even now that smartphones have become very popular, they are associated with being dependable and rugged and having a very long battery life. However, Eurocom lost three percentage points of its volume share, with Nokia dropping in favour of Samsung, Sony and Motorola which increased their volume share slightly.
