Mardi Gras Events Bring Floats and Parades to the Destin Area

On Friday, February 5th, The Destin Commons will host a Mardi Gras Masquerade. This parade will feature over 30 decorated floats as well as people in costume marching throughout the lifestyle center. Candy, trinkets and beads will be traditionally tossed to onlookers as the participants parade through the Destin Commons.

The celebration continues with live entertainment by The New Orleans Ramblers. An added activity catered to kids will be available throughout the festival. Kids will be invited to create Mardi Gras accessories as well as participate in a masquerade mask face painting. The Destin Commons Mardi Gras Masquerade will begin at 6:00pm.

On Saturday, February 6th, HarborWalk Village will host the 8th Annual Mardi Gras Parade on the Destin Harbor. Floats decorated in traditional Mardi Gras style will proceed through HarborWalk Village along with parade participants in full costume. Street performers and live entertainment will continue throughout the festival from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

The Destin Commons Mardi Gras Masquerade as well as the 8th Annual Mardi Gras Parade on the Destin Harbor are free events and open to the public. Both venues are easily accessed from Destin beach condos and are located directly on Highway 98.
