Unilever relaunched the economy Granby in standard powder detergents, a leading brand in the early 1990s, which gained share quickly and accounted for 7% of retail volume sales in 2015.

Competitive Landscape
Unilever de Argentina led laundry care with a retail value share of 65% in 2015 thanks to its wide variety of brands with a long history in the country, including Ala, Skip, Drive and Vivere. The relaunching of old brands such as Granby in mid-2014, which led standard powder detergents in the 1990s, strengthened its position even within economy segments.
Industry Prospects
The economic recovery will be slow over the forecast period. Consequently it is expected that in the short term private label and economy brands will outperform the leading brands.
