Closetbox, a full-service storage company headquartered in Denver, announced today that Josh Doering, a student and entrepreneur attending Morningside College, will receive the $5000 Closetbox Entrepreneur Scholarship. As entrepreneurs themselves, Closetbox believes that education is vital for young minds, especially entrepreneurs, and started this scholarship to keep tomorrow's business leaders in school as they continue to grow their startup companies.

After receiving 120 applicants with an idea, business, invention, etc., Closetbox selected self-starter Josh Doering as the recipient for his ability to take an idea and turn it into something real and functioning. Doering saw the need to increase safety and efficiency on the farm he where he grew up, and has created Seed Slide, a remote box opener that is useful for adding safety and convenience into any bulk seed tote operation. Doering is currently enrolled at Morningside College and will use the scholarship to continue his education.

"This scholarship is different than most; it provides student entrepreneurs the funds to keep working towards their degree while rewarding the hard work they put towards their startup." said Doering. "Balancing the costs of paying for an education and building a business is not an easy task, and is often times a pick and choose situation.  I am extremely grateful to Closetbox as this scholarship will allow me to finish at Morningside College with the skills necessary to be successful as an entrepreneur and also continue to grow Seed Slide."

Closetbox has grown to over 60 storage locations in two years from the effort and minds of college graduates. Closetbox provides free pickup and handles the heavy lifting to move customerÂ’s belongings from their home to their secure storage facilities. Closetbox inventories a customerÂ’s items, then provides customers with a personalized dashboard so they can view their items online. From this dashboard, customers can request any or all items to be returned on-demand.

"We are thrilled to award the Closetbox $5,000 Entrepreneur Scholarship to Josh Doering, as he stood out to us among the many impressive applicants." Said Marcus Mollmann, Closetbox Founder & CEO. "In various startup communities a negative view of college education has taken hold, and we take issue with this. We believe in keeping bright young people in school through the end, as these minds are starting the businesses of tomorrow."
