Philosophy of FileMaker Blog
A New Blog about FileMaker Pro
[ClickPress, Tue Feb 21 2017] I’ve been wanting to start a FileMaker blog for some time now. While I was never short of content, I needed a good platform for publishing. Instead of choosing one of the many blog platforms out there, I programmed my own custom blog site using my favorite development platform. Naturally, that platform is FileMaker, which allowed me to customize the site to my unique tastes and requirements.
The Philosophy of FileMaker blog is a “no holding back” blog covering scripting, calculations, relational design and FileMaker theory in general. “What I mean by ‘not holding back’ is that the blog won’t hide developer secrets by not revealing everything known about the subject at hand.” The only way that will happen is if the entry gets too long and then it will be covered in a second part!
The Philosophy of FileMaker will release blog entries several times a month, at the least, and more when I have extra time. The site is completely free so please support it by purchasing products advertised on the site. Comments are also welcome.
John Mark Osborne has been working with FileMaker Pro for over two decades and has become one of the leading industry experts. John Mark is co-author of the wildly popular Scriptology book and CD ROM which has become the standard for FileMaker Pro developers. Recently, he received a prestigious award from FileMaker, Inc. for developing outstanding technical resources for his popular FileMaker Pro web site, Database Pros
