Top performing funds are right for you

Fund performance of Losway Wealth's Foreign Exchange Trading Fund FXF4729 has delivered over 100% returns over the past three years and is currently up by close to 200% since its inception in 2012. The funds performance is one of the best in the hedge fund sector and currently holds just over £140 Million of clients assets.

Wealth Manager Garrett Rogers at Losway Wealth says " This has proved to be good for our clients and we are now starting to work in partnership with other financial institutions to offer them the benefits of this account." The Fund invests into the main principal currencies and takes advantage of there short term movements against each other which happen of the back of economic news. Whilst the fund uses high gearing the fund is considered to be relatively safe. Garrett Rogers explains "our propriety software is overseen by a number of traders and operate with very strict trading parameters. The maximum loss on any trade is caped to a maximum of 1% in real terms and trades are only conducted if there is a greater than 75% change of success. As a result we have need have two negative months although this will surely happen at some point in the future. We now offer trial accounts for non clients to allow them to test this area of the market though we will remove this facility once the fund holds in excess of £500 Million. Funds are also segregated for client's protection. For example new clients funds will now go to Losway WMS Ltd."

However the one downside of this fund is that commission is not cheap with 20% of profits being charged. Garrett counters that fees are good value. "We only charge a fee when the account is in profit. So if our investors do not make money then neither will we. There is also considerable tax benefits." However when you factor in this performance fee returns are not quite as striking. For Example the net return over three years after fees goes down to 85% from over 100. Losway Wealth also holds two other forex funds FXR0124 which is more defensive and FXP0352 which is more aggressive.

The top performing fund over the past three years is Indian Midcap Fund B GBP by Kotak Funds. This fund has delivered a return of 171% over a three year period. This fund invests in mid sized companies in India.
