The city of Edinburgh is celebrating Diwali this weekend on 29th Oct 2017, which celebrates the Hindu, Sikh and Jain festival of lights. With the celebration of Festival of Light, Edinburgh Diwali is committed to bring the richness of Indian culture to Scotland and to Scottish community.
Diwali procession to be started at 1:30 pm from City Chambers, Edinburgh's Royal Mile by St Giles Cathedral, progressing down the Mound by National Gallery with dance performances there and in Castle Street at around 3pm. Parade via Hanover Street, George Street, Castle Street into Princess Street Gardens. More than 300 children from primary schools across Edinburgh are participating in lantern making workshops this October 29th/10/2017 at 1:30 pm. Venue: The Ross Band Theatre, Princes Street Garden.
