City-based business outsourcing company, QX Global Services LLP, organized the first convocation ceremony of its training and education arm, QX Academy, at a city hotel on Monday. The QX Academy is an initiative of the QX Group, and offers a four-month paid training program on UK Accounting and Tax. It is the only company in Gujarat to offer such a course.
Head of the QX Academy, Jay Joshi, says, "We decided to start an academy after QX’s recruiter teams found the skills gap in Ahmedabad to be primarily a training and knowledge issue. There is an obvious mismatch between that’s being taught at colleges and the actual corporate demand. The QX bridges the gap between meritorious talent and vacant jobs that are difficult to fill due to a shortage of skills."
QX Academy was launched by the company in November 2017 with a view to provide trained and skilled accounting talent to QX via our job-assured, training programs. Currently, the training arm focuses solely on the UK Accounting and Tax course to create a talent pool of accountants, equipped with the requisite technical and professional expertise to join the highly specialized accounting workforce at QX Ltd.
"Any B.Com/M.Com graduate or a young working professional who is looking to launch their accounting careers should do this course. Our aim is to not only develop young talent but also make them successful, forward-thinking accounting leaders of tomorrow," added Joshi.
Ten students were enrolled in the first batch, who on the completion of the course, are set to start a career at QX in various accounting roles. The registration procedure for the second batch has started now. Commerce graduates can register their interest from the official website.
