[ClickPress, Fri Jun 20 2008] BPA Worldwide, the only global auditor of media, has extended the number of countries in which it operates to 28 following the completion of a circulation audit for Upstream, a global weekly oil & gas industry newspaper, published out of Norway.
The audit reported that Upstream, which serves the international oil and gas industry, had a total average circulation of 6831, of which 6570 were individual paid copies. The audit reported that 43% of these copies circulated in Europe; 31% in North America and 15% in Asia. The publication targets independent and state oil and gas companies, service companies and contractors, consultancies and related financial services industries and others allied to the field.
“We’re delighted to be auditing a prestigious b-to-b title like Upstream,” comments Stuart Wilkinson, BPA Worldwide’s Managing Director for EMEA. “BPA is very experienced at auditing publications that serve the oil and gas industry around the world and we are pleased to be doing so for Upstream. It also means that Norway becomes the latest country where BPA’s internationally recognised media audit standards are assisting media owners in the increasingly competitive quest for international advertising spend.”
Upstream is published by the NHST Media Group in Oslo, which produces a variety of business, financial and trade-focused publications in both print and electronic formats. The group also publishes newspapers such as Dagens Naeringsliv, Norway's leading business daily, and the international shipping newspaper TradeWinds.
