Teleconnect, Inc. Receives First Major Order for Its New Fortune Rechargeable Prepaid Card

MADRID, Spain, April 13, 2005 -Teleconnect, Inc. (OTCBB: TLCO) announced today that it has recently received its first large order from the Company's main distributor for its recently announced innovative rechargeable prepaid calling card. The goal is to distribute 350,000 rechargeable cards through its 7000 points of distribution by June 2005. In the first 10 days of distribution, and with only the initial 70 distribution outlets activated, the daily calling card sales increased steadily from 150 euros the first day to over 2000 euros on the tenth day.

The FORTUNE RECHARGEABLE Prepaid Calling Card has the following characteristics:

1. The new card will be made available exclusively through the 7000 distribution points of Teleconnect's main distributor, El Corte Ingles Group for the initial ramp up of distribution.

2. The card's end user may recharge the card at the point of distribution by paying cash to the teller. Alternatively, the end user can call the Teleconnect Call Center and have an amount charged to his/her credit card.

3. The rechargeable feature offers a significant savings in production and distribution costs, which translates into better margins for Teleconnect and more competitive rates for its users, notwithstanding, maintaining its high standard of voice quality on each call.

4. The card incorporates a toll-free access number as well as a HELP-Line number which can be used from Spain or Portugal.

5. The card is ready for Teleconnect's expansion into other European markets in the near future, such as Italy.
