How many cities have short duration yellow lights at intersections with red light cameras, generating high revenue from traffic tickets? One city was caught and forced to refund over $1 million in fines, but drivers want to know how many other cities have not been caught?

Davis censors Maastricht and Europe Minister roles from campaign website

Conservative leadership contender David Davis has censored his role as a government whip responsible for bulldozing the Maastricht treaty through Parliament from his leadership campaign website. The U.K. Independence Party also said that he had also gone to great lengths to disguise his true role within the Foreign Office between 1994 and 1997.

Emerald Group Publishing announces the publication of a special issue of Interlending & Document Supply to celebrate the contribution to the field of Librarianship by Maurice B. Line, former Director General of the British Library. Featuring Guest Editors Mike McGrath and Stella Pilling, the August issue (volume 33, number 2) includes essays, articles, and viewpoints by Line as well as numerous colleagues. The library career of Maurice Line began in 1950 when he became a trainee for the Bodleian Library in Oxford. In 1971 Maurice was a member of the body carrying out the preliminary planning for the British Library. From 1974 to 1985 he held the post of Director-General, British Library Lending Division, and from 1985 to 1988 he was Director-General of the British Library’s Science, Technology and Industry Directorate.
