xG Technology, LLC has appointed Threepipe Communications to handle the UK press office in the build up to the 2006 3GSM show. xG Technology has developed xMax technology which uses sub-Gigahertz frequencies to radically reduce deployment costs for the provision of fixed wireless broadband services. Whilst the company will initially focus the xMax technology towards wireless broadband for the residential market the long term strategy is to develop the xMax technology for 4G mobile and wired applications.
